Electrical Safety

̃ At the beginning of each new tenancy, you should ensure that electrical installations - like fixed wiring - are safe and well maintained. Any electrical appliances you supply to tenants - like cookers and kettles - should be safe for them to use.

̃ You should have the fixed electrical installation - like sockets and light fittings - tested every five years in accordance to BS7671.

̃ You should also, at least once a year, undertake portable appliance testing (PAT) safety test on any portable electrical equipment you provide for tenants, like kettles etc.

For your confidence and safety, we are able to offer you this services at a fixed cost and also provide a competitive quotation for any remedial work that may be required.

All Fixed Wire Testing is carried out by our qualified professionals in accordance with The Institute of Electrical Engineers 17th Edition, Wiring Regulations (BS7671) Guidance Note 3.

Our inspections will reveal issues such as overloaded circuits, fire hazards, shock risks and lack of earthing/bonding as well as showing up any defective electrical work which could lead to future problems.
